Her journey began in foster care at a very young age. Through profound loss, hardship, and experiences that tested her faith, Evelyn discovered the enduring power of hope, resilience, love, and support.

Through literature, music, film, and personal reflection, she creates work that encourages children, families, and communities—especially foster youth—to believe that their story is not over and that a brighter future is always possible.
